Apple has been releasing its base iPhone model along with Pro variants for years. Now, cupertino-based tech giants are planning to refresh this long-standing tradition of launching all major iPhone models in September every year. Apple has yet to reveal its original plans, but has been mentioned that analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has claimed that the company will shift to the launch schedule twice. Apple is said to have been planned to release the high-end iPhone model in the Fall Launch Window, while the budget versions can enter the market in the first half of the next year.
Apple iPhone can shake the launch timeline
TF Securities International Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo Shared Potential launch timeline of future iPhone models on Monday. After the launch of the Pro model from the same series in last year’s collapse, Apple will launch a cheap iPhone model in the first half of every year. The launch of iPhone 17 is likely to proceed normally with four models this year – iPhone 17 Pro Max, iPhone 17 Pro, iPhone 17 Slim, and iPhone 17. The brand is asked to announce the iPhone 17E in the first half of 2026.
Instead of unveiling the entire lineup at once, Apple is asked to launch only Flagship iPhone 18 Slim, iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max models in the second half of 2026. They are probably given to release with the first foldable iPhone in September. On the other hand, the standard iPhone 18, the iPhone 18E model has been tipped to see the light in the first half of 2027.
According to Kuo, Apple will bring its second generation foldable iPhone, iPhone 19 Slim, iPhone 19 Pro and iPhone 19 Pro Max in the second half of 2027.
In addition, Kuo says that the iPhone 19 Slim will have a larger performance compared to the iPhone 18 slim. The iPhone 17 Air, which is expected to be official this year, is rumored to receive a 6.6 -inch OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate
Kuo believes that Apple’s two-year-old iPhone launch strategy is largely powered by a fiery market competition, especially in China. Launching the iPhone model in the first half of every year can help the company shut down the marketing gap. He said that Apple has to expand its iPhone lineup as the competition is increasing, and releasing all models simultaneously reduces the company’s marketing efforts.
If Kuo’s prediction proves to be accurate, the revised launch schedule will mark a major departure from Apple’s long -standing tradition of unveiling the latest iPhone lineups every September. Recently, a report of information suggested a stagnant rollout for the iPhone 18 series.
