Apple is estimated to introduce an important redesign for the 20th-year-old version of its iPhone lineup, which is expected to be launched in the second half of 2027. The cupertino-based company will probably launch a unique flagship iPhone Pro model with a foldable iPhone. Now, Mark Gurman of Bloomberg said that Apple will not be able to build its foldable iPhone and anniversary iPhone in India. The latter is expected to come up with a heavy price. It will possibly be manufactured mainly from glass.
New Apple phone can be built in China
Earlier this month, Mark Gurman reported that the Apple is planning an important overhaul for the 20th anniversary of the iPhone, including a foldable variant and a “bold new pro model”, which includes a more glass-focused design. In his latest weekly power on newsletter, Bloomberg Reporter Claimed That Apple will stick to China for the production of its 20th anniversary iPhone model and foldable iPhone.
Gurman said that Apple will not be able to manufacture all US-bound iPhone models in India by 2027. He said that he does not overcome a situation where the 20th anniversary iPhone units, including foldable and glass-focused models, will be produced in India.
Apple will not be able to create every American iPhone in India by 2027. I do not see any landscape where 20 -year anniversary iPhones – foldable and glass centric models – are made in India. Apple has not produced a major new design outside China for the first Go-Around. https://t.co/m40d8otmaf

“While Apple’s manufacturing in India has reached equity with China in terms of current iPhone quality, the 20th anniversary models are exceptionally complicated”, Gurman said. He says that these devices will fully require new components and manufacturing methods, and it is unlikely that Apple may produce them outside China, not at least 2027. In addition, Gurman explains that Apple has never designed a major new product outside China in his first attempt.
If foldable iPhone and glass-focused iPhone units are produced in China, they can withstand additional tariffs, further adding their already highly anticipated value.
Meanwhile, Apple is increasing efforts to expand the iPhone production in India, placing to gather the majority of US-bound equipment over the next few years. Recently, according to a Bloomberg report, the company gathered $ 22 billion (about Rs 1,87,886 crore), which is the value of the iPhone model in India in the 12 months ended March, with an increase of about 60 percent of the production compared to the previous year.
