Argument with drunk neighbor leads to 3 deaths in Mumbai: Police


Mumbai:

The enmity between two families in Mumbai’s Ganpat Patil Nagar increased this evening, causing three persons to die and four others suffering violent clashes.

Police said the Sheikh and Gupta family – Ganpat Patil, while living in Nagar’s slum, had enemies after registering police cases against each other since 2022.

The old rivalry took a violent turn today.

Sources said that at 4.30 pm today, Amit Sheikh reached, Ram Naval Gupta’s coconut shop was passing in an unqualified state, and a hot argument between the two began.

This argument increased so much that both families called in reinforcement.

Ram naval Gupta, his sons Amar Gupta, Arvind Gupta and Amit Gupta came with sharp weapons and faced Hamid Nasiruddin Sheikh and his sons Armaan Hamid Sheikh and Hasan Hamid Sheikh.

In the Clash, Ram Navy Gupta and Arvind Gupta died on the spot. Amar Gupta and Amit Gupta were seriously injured.

In the Sheikh family, Hamid Sheikh also died, his sons Armaan and Hasan Sheikh were injured.

All the bodies have been sent to Shatabdi Hospital for postmortem examination.

The police has started the process of registering the murder cases.
One of the accused is in police custody, but he has been admitted to the hospital due to his serious condition.

The police is thoroughly investigating the matter and heavy security has been deployed in the area.
