As long as the law was canceled to lead the nationwide protest against the Muslim body Waqf Act

New Delhi:

AIMPLB has stated that it will lead a nationwide movement against the WAQF (Amendment) Act in coordination with all religious, community-based and social organizations, and this campaign will continue until the law is completely canceled.

The Salaming National Democratic Alliance (NDA) such as JD (U), TDP and LJP (Ram Villas) supported the Waqf Bill in Parliament, the All India Muslim Personal Law Board (AIMPLB) said that the support of the BJP’s communal agenda was completely highlighted by some parties.

In a statement, AIMPLB emphasized that it would lead a nationwide movement against these amendments in coordination with all religious, community-based and social organizations and the campaign would continue until the amendments were completely canceled.

The board assured the Muslim community of India that there was no need for despair or despair.

AIMPLB stated that the leadership would not be away from any sacrifice for this reason and will start a strong movement within the constitutional structure against these “repressive amendments”, with all the justice-fingering forces in the country.

These emotions and ideas were expressed in a meeting of board officials and special invitations on Saturday, it was said in the statement.

In late Saturday, President Draupadi Murmu agreed to the Waqf (Amendment) Bill, 2025 passed by Parliament earlier this week.

Murmu also gave his consent to the Muslim Waqf (Relations) Bill, 2025.

AIMPLB general secretary Maulana Mohammad Fazlurrahim Mujadidi highlighted the details of the nationwide campaign.

He said that the board would not only take the legal route to challenge these discriminatory and unjust amendments in the Supreme Court, but will also appoint all democratic and peaceful means of protest, including performance, symbolic protests such as wearing black armband, round table meetings and press conferences with fellow citizens.

In every state capital, Muslim leaders will perform symbolic arrests in court and protests will be held at the district level.

At the conclusion of these protests, Memorandums will be presented to the President and Union Home Minister through the concerned District Magistrates and Collectors.

As part of the first phase of the movement, one whole week – from one Friday to the next – “Waqf will be seen under Save, Save the Constitution” theme.

Several initiatives will be taken during this period, in which a major focus will be focused on organizing a roundateable discussion with fellow citizens.

The purpose of these meetings is to compete with the misinformation spread by the government and communal elements with facts and logical arguments.

Similarly, a meeting will be held in Delhi with leaders of other religions and representatives of Waqf institutions.

Large -scale protest programs will be organized in Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Bangalore, Chennai, Vijayawada, Malappuram, Patna, Ranchi, Malkotla and Lucknow.

The campaign will begin with a grand public meeting at Talkatora Stadium in Delhi. Under the first phase, all these programs will continue till Eid al-Dada in June.

AIMPLB said in the statement, “The next phase will be decided.

He urged him not to take any action inspired by emotions that can provide opportunities for communal and disruptive forces.

The Parliament on Friday approved the bill on Friday after the Rajya Sabha gave a dispute to the controversial law after a debate of more than 13 hours.

In this discussion, staunch objections were seen from the opposition parties, which called the bill “anti-Muslim” as well as “unconstitutional”, while the government replied that the “historic reform” would benefit the minority community.

The bill was passed with voting in favor of 128 members in the Rajya Sabha and opposing 95. It was passed in the Lok Sabha on Thursday, in which 288 members supported it and 232 against it.
