New Delhi:
Police said on Monday that a 49 -year -old auto driver jumped into the Yamuna River from a flyover after a debate with his landlady.
The incident took place on Sunday at 5.35 am near the Geeta Colony flyover.
According to the police, Sohan Singh Negi was giving a hawker to her landlady, Tara Devi (55). A hot argument was given between them. A senior police officer said, “Negi stopped his auto near the flyover and jumped into the Yamuna River. We are questioning Tara Devi who was with her in the auto.”
He said, “A search operation was started immediately after receiving the PCR call. The local police station personnel, divers and rescue teams, reached the spot,” said. He has so far recovered his body.
A passerby, known as Rahul Kumar (36), revealed the incident and called the police, he said.
The exact cause of logic is not yet known. Police said that a case has been registered under the relevant sections of the Indian Justice Code and further investigation is going on.
