Big fire in showroom in Bandra, Mumbai, no injury occurred


Mumbai:

Officials said a large fire broke out in a building residence in a building residence in the suburban Bandra area in the early hours of Tuesday, in which the NDRF was also being called for fire fighting works, the officials said.

He said that there was no immediate report of any injury in the blast.

A civil spokesman said, “After a request from the Mumbai Fire Brigade, a team of the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) was gathered and reached the spot at 7.50 am.”

He said that there was no injury on the site, the building adjacent to the affected structure was evacuated as a precautionary measure.

Officials said the fire was classified as Level IV (Head), excluding the road in Bandra (West) in a multistory building on linking at around 4.10 am.

A civil official said the blaze was initially limited to the basement of the building, but it later spread to the upper floors of the building, which were surrounded in smoke.

Thick black smoke billing from the building was visible from a distance.

Blaze pictures and videos have surfaced on social media.

The civic official said that around 6.25 am, the fire brigade classified the blazer as a level IV, showing that it was a major fire warranting of a major firefighting operation.

According to officials, Mumbai Fire Brigade chief Ravindra Ambulgekar and other senior officials of the fire brigade have reached the spot, and efforts are on to sink the blast.

The civic officer said that at least 13 fire engines and other firefighting vehicles are on the spot.

He said that other agencies have also been collected, and the cause of the fire is not yet known.

This is the second major morning in the morning in Metropolis in two days. On Sunday, a major fire broke out at the Enforcement Directorate (ED) office in the Ballad Estate area.
