BJP will work for a country free from Maoists by March 2026: Amit Shah

Dantewada:

Union Home Minister Amit Shah said on Saturday that Maoism will completely disappear from the country by next year. He said that Maoism is on the verge of ending in Bastar and the BJP government is committed to free India from the grip of “Lal Autank” by March 2026.

“In the last three months, 521 Naxalites have surrendered. A total of 881 Naxalites have surrendered in 2024. I assure you that those who are surrendering will be included in the mainstream. But those who tolerate weapons will be dealt with with security forces. The settlement is no longer a symbol of a future, but a future is said to be a future.

“Agle March Tak, Hum Poore Desh Ko is Laal Atank Se Mukt Karne Kaam Bharatiya Janata Party Ki Sarkar Karegi (By Next March, The BJP Government will work to free Maoism), “He added.

Mr. Shah also remembered how political leaders were discouraged by going to this region earlier.

“The leaders were prevented from giving speeches here. The Chief Minister would say,” Don’t go. ” But now, we are celebrating Ram Navami and Ashtami with 50,000 tribal brothers and sisters, “he said.

Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai and Deputy CM Vijay Sharma shared the stage with Mr. Shah. Cabinet minister Kedar Kashyap and Ramvichar Netam and BJP state president Kiran Singh Dev were also present at the event.

During the Bastar Pandam festival, Mr. Shah honored local artists and praised his contribution to preserving tribal culture.

Earlier in the day, Shri Shah prayed at the Maa Danteshwari temple in Dantewada.

Meanwhile, Maoists and people affected by the Maoist violence in Balrampur district of Chhattisgarh have been surrendered, who are benefiting for the first time under a special project of Prime Minister Avas Yojana (PMAY).

Nayantara Singh Tomar, Chief Executive Officer of District Panchayat Balrampur, said on Friday that under the special scheme, PMAY benefits are being extended to people affected by Maoist incidents or people who have surrendered.

“A list of 77 people was obtained, out of which 30 characters were found, and 23 have already been approved for housing. After addressing technical issues, the remaining 7 will also be approved,” said Mr. Tomar.
