A senior BSF official on Tuesday told reporters in Manipur’s capital Imphal that the Border Security Force constable Soldier Deepak Chingkham made a huge contribution to destroying a Pakistani post, before he received serious injuries from the enemy artillery fire.
The BSF Constable was given full state honor after bringing them to Imphal Airport from Jammu and Kashmir. Hundreds of BSF personnel, including jawans and officers, moved to a military vehicle, who took retaliation for Pakistani firing on May 11 and took the body of a soldier killed in action on 11 May.

“Deepak was a brave soldier of BSF. He fought with bravery. During the struggle for three-four days, he made a big contribution to destroying a Pakistani post. Unfortunately, when he was looking for a goal, a shell fell near him. Reporter in Imphal.
Mr. Singh said that there are provisions in the central force to help the families of soldiers killed in action.
“The BSF stands with the family. We will not allow them to face any problem. There is a provision for appointment on a compassionate basis. If anyone in the family is eligible, the BSF will recruit the person on a compassionate basis,” Mr. Singh said.

Chingkham’s younger brother Si Naoba Singh touched and broke the coffin wrapped in the national flag. Amid wiping tears, Naoba Singh said that when he was irrelevant inside heavy losses, he would not give up hope for the family with the knowledge that his elder brother loved forcefully and sacrificed his life for the nation.
“I want to join the armed forces,” Naoba Singh said, he is in his fifth semester of graduation.
Naoba Singh said, “Everyone loved my brother. The children of the area preferred to play with him. He was good with everyone. He never missed to meet friends and whenever he came home on vacation, he extended the family members.”

Chingkham’s father Bonbahari showed a picture of a frame of his son in BSF uniform, holding a service attack rifle.
The father said, “The moment he took an oath to become a soldier of India, his life was for the country. Although his loss is the most sad for the family, I am very proud of his son,” the father said, stood with walls and kunk floors made of mud in front of his small house.
Manipur Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla and political leaders also paid their honors and garlanded the BSF soldier’s body.
Raj Bhavan said in a statement, “A son of Manipur, a hero of the nation. 7th Battalion Constable Deepak Chingkham, BSF laid his life in the line of duty during a drone attack from across the border in Kharhanola bop.”

Former Chief Minister N. Biren Singh visited Chingkham House at Yaripok Yambam in Imphal Eastern District. State Congress chief Keisham Meghchandra and BJP leader K Sharat Kumar also garlanded Chingkham’s body.
The state government on Monday announced a prior of Rs 10 lakh for Chingkham’s family.
Manipur is under the President’s rule. Ethnic issues and tension between the valley-head Metei community that live in the Imphal Valley and Cookie Tribes, which are prominent in the hills in southern Manipur and some areas of the northern part can still be completely resolved.
