BSF jawans were injured in Pakistani shelling on Jammu and Kashmir border


Patna:

A Border Security Force (BSF) jawan, who was injured in firing in Pakistan on the Jammu and Kashmir border, succumbed and his body is likely to reach his original village, Baddia on Tuesday.

Rambabu Prasad, a resident of Vasilpur village under Gautam Buddha Nagar police station in Siwan district, was seriously injured during Pakistani shelling on 9 May.

Prasad’s family members reached Jammu and Kashmir soon after receiving information about their injuries.

BSF jawan, Prasad died on Monday due to his injuries.

Prasad got married in February this year.

His father, Ram Vichar Singh, a former deputy deputy of Hariharpur Panchayat, said, Prasad aspired to serve the nation since childhood.

The news of his martyrdom has put a part of sadness all over the village. Rubbing the loss, his wife expressed pride in her bravery by mourning.

Local and officials are arranging to pay their honors to the jawan with state honors.

A large vote of local people and dignitaries is expected at the funeral, which reflects deep respect and praise for the sacrifice of Prasad.

Earlier on Monday, the bodies of BSF Deputy Superintendent Mohammad Imtiaz, who were martyred in the area from RS Pur in Jammu, were brought to Patna Airport through an Indigo flight this morning.

A serious wave of grief covered the area when his body arrives, and paid tribute with full state honors.

Opposition Tejashvi Yadav, Bihar ministers Shravan Kumar and Nitin Naveen were present at the airport to pay tribute to the fallen hero, along with prominent leaders, top administrative and BSF officials.
