“Can be deported, face permanent restrictions”

The United States Embassy in India has currently issued a strong advice for Indian citizens living on temporary visas in the US, urging them that they are not more than their legally allowed period. The embassy warned that overseas could lead to permanent ban on exile and re -entry into the country.

In a tweet posted on your official handle, the embassy said: “If you live beyond your authorized period of living in the United States, you can be deported and face a permanent ban on traveling to the United States in the future.”

Advisor serves as a reminder for individuals in the US on various non-immigrant visas-as strictly adherence to tourists, students, and the validity period given at the time of admission for work permits.

What does it matter as an ‘authorized migration’?

A person is legally allowed to live in the US, which is usually marked on the I-94 form (arrival/departure record), which is issued by immigration officers on entry. The embassy revealed that a brief overstay could also take serious legal results.

A permanent ban can derail long -term schemes, especially for those interested in studies, work or reunion with family members in the United States.

The embassy advised those facing unavoidable delays in leaving the country to immediately reach the United States citizenship and immigration services (USCIS) to take legal options to increase their stay.
