Communal stress after sexual harassment of Minor flows into Nainital

Officials said the 12 -year -old girl was allegedly harassed by a 60 -year -old man, after triggering protests and barbarity, communal tension in Nanital in Uttarakhand broke.

Police said the accused, Usman, who is a contractor by profession, has been arrested, but he said that there was a huge deployment of forces to maintain peace.

After the alleged attack, the news spread after the news spread about the girl for a medical examination around 8 pm on Wednesday night.

Members of some Hindu organizations staged demonstrations outside the police station and demanded strict action against the accused.

Police said some shops owned by members of the Muslim community were barbaric and a nearby mosque was thrown with stones.

Senior officials including Superintendent of Police (City) Jagdish Chandra intervened to the protesters and assured that strict action would be taken against the accused, helping to reduce the situation.

The protests continued at midnight, motivated the police to patrol by 2 pm to prevent the police from moving forward.

SP Chandra said that heavy police have been deployed across the city to maintain peace.
