An SBI bank manager in Bengaluru refused to speak in the official language of Kannada, Karnataka, as a customer insisted him to “it is Karnataka”, awakens the line of language.
The incident, whose video is now in widespread circulation, was reported from Chandpura, a suburb south of Bangalore.
Here is how the conversation between the bank officer and the customer took place:
Customer: Wait a second, it is Karnataka.
Bank manager: You have not given me employment.
Customer: It is Karnataka, Madam.
Bank manager: so? This is India.
Customer: Kannada first, Madam.
Bank manager: I will not speak Kannada for you.
The man kept pushing the officer.
Customer: So you will never speak Kannada?
Bank manager: No, I will speak Hindi.
Both kept going on each other for a few minutes, neither the yield of the party.

The conversation was stuck with two people who refused to speak in the language that others wanted.
“Madam This is Karnataka, you should talk to Kannada. It is not about the Speaker, an RBI rule is that in that particular situation you should speak the concerned language,” said the person reminding the officer.
“I will never speak Kannada,” the bank manager said ending the conversation.
“Super, Madam, Super,” the customer shot back sarcastically.
The person, who continued to record exchange among them, urged people to teach this bank a lesson.
“Viewers, this is the SBI branch in Chandpura, all of you should teach this branch a lesson, we all should unite,” he said.
The Pro-Kanada activist group, who is in weapons on the incident, will hold a protest tomorrow.
They are planning to march in SBI Main Branch and submit a memorandum in this regard.
