Daughter’s face as Pinarayi Vijayan in case of fraud

Thiruvananthapuram:

Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said on Wednesday that neither he nor his party is taking action against his daughter seriously in the “illegal payment” scam of the Serious Fraud Investigation Office (SFIO) and does not affect him in any way.

Vijayan also said that he was aware that the intention behind the move was to target him.

In response to a series of questions on the matter, he commented – “I know you want my blood, but you won’t get it easily”.

“You can expect my resignation,” he said during a press conference in the evening, responding to the questions on the issue by reporters.

He said that the SFIO case was in court and would be legally dealt with.

The report between his comment said that ED is preparing to register a case against Vijayan’s daughter, already facing investigation by the SFIO in the alleged “illegal payment” scam.

There were also media reports that the Union Corporate Affairs Ministry has approved the prosecution proceedings against him in the SFIO case.

During the press conference, the CM said that the media was ignoring the facts that were paid income tax and GST on the amount received by his daughter’s IT firm from private mining company CMRL.
