Dead body was kept for examination, dogs were converted into body in Madhya Pradesh hospital

Bhopal:

The serious condition of the management at Narmadapuram District Hospital (72 km from Bhopal) in Madhya Pradesh has been exposed in a terrible incident-the dogs attacked and mutated the body of a young man while waiting for the post-mortem overnight, which revealed a shocking level of negligence by the hospital authorities.

The tragedy began on Friday night in the Rural Police Station area near Palanpur, where a deadly road accident claimed the life of a young man, which was identified as Nikhil Chaurasia.

His body was rushed to the district hospital for post -mortem, but by morning, it was severely damaged by stray dogs.

A disturbing video of this incident has gone viral on social media.

Confirming the incident, Civil Surgeon Dr. Sudhir Vijayvargia explained to IANS that the infrastructure of its old building in the hospital lacks a dedicated freezer or facility for storage of bodies, although a new building is under construction.

Meanwhile, the bodies are placed in open areas with family members nearby, and security guards are deployed to maintain them.

He said that a show-causal notice would be issued to responsible personnel-security guards, who are deployed on outsourced basis.

When the victim’s grieving family reached to collect the body, they were destroyed to burst parts of his neck. Away from grief and anger, he faced hospital staff about negligence. Asked if it is not an inadvertent tampering with the body, Parag Saini, the police officer of the sub-division, told IANS that the viral video has given extensive attention to the incident.

While the family has not yet contacted the police, an investigation is going on.

Dangerous, this is not a separate event – there have been many similar incidents in the past, serious doubts on hospital safety and management.

21 -year -old Nikhil Chaurasia, who had lost his life in the accident, was a resident of Banapura, returning from a wedding in Palanpur with friends Hrithik Rajput and Rohit Mehra, when a fast vehicle crashed into his bike on Dolia Road.

Nikhil died due to his injuries at the scene, while Hrithik and Rohit were seriously injured and are currently receiving treatment in a private hospital.

Police officials have not yet identified the vehicle responsible for the accident.

According to the latest annual report of the State Health Department, a total of Rs 13,270.31 crore was allocated for the health budget, but the department could invest only 89 percent or Rs 11,859.87 crore during the financial year 2023-24. Out of which 600 crore rupees were made available for infrastructure during the year.
