After obtaining a medical degree, Rana joined the medical corps of the Pakistani Army. One of Rana’s regular contacts, investigators say, Sajid Mir was a nominated global terrorist and one of the most wanted men in India. Mir allegedly worked as a prominent handler during the 26/11 attacks and the accused was accused of directing the siege of Mumbai’s Chabad House, where six hostages died.
The United States has given a reward of $ 5 million for the leading information for Mir’s possession. In 2022, India presented an audio recording at the United Nations, where Mir was allegedly heard in coordination with the attackers during the siege.

Who is leading the investigation

Helping him, Ashish Batra, a 1997 batch IPS officer is also from Jharkhand, who is currently serving as the Inspector General of Inspector.
The two along with Rana boarded the extradition flight from America from America, who landed in Delhi on Thursday evening.
