Police said on Monday that a 48 -year -old woman died after suffering from seriously burnt injuries while performing a religious ritual at her home in Thane district of Maharashtra.
According to an official of Manpada police station in Dombivali, Archana Dharmendra Kumar, a resident of Kalyan city on the outskirts of Mumbai, was lighting the city of Kalyan on the outskirts of Mumbai.
The fire quickly surrounded her clothes, causing serious injuries to the woman in the incident on Saturday, citing the information provided by her husband.
The official said the family members took the woman to a nearby hospital, where she succumbed to burning injuries in the early hours of Sunday.
He said that his body was sent for post -mortem examination, and a case of accidental death has been registered for now.
