East-minister Suresh Prabhu only Indian on Bloomberg New Economy Advisory Board

Former Union Minister Suresh Prabhu has been appointed to the Bloomberg New Economy Advisory Board, making him the only Indian in the list, including former Indonesian president, IMF’s first Deputy Managing Director, Geeta Gopinath and several industry leaders.

Suresh Prabhu is a six -time member of Parliament, who organized several departments during the first two conditions of Vajpayee government and Prime Minister Modi.

He organized many cabinet portfolio like industry, electricity, environment and forests, railways, civil aviation, commerce and industry, and fertilizers and chemicals. Additionally, he has served as the Prime Minister’s Sherpa for the G7 and G20, playing an important role in shaping the official agenda of the Government of India on important issues for G7 and G20.

Mr. Prabhu is a famous chartered accountant and is currently Chancellor of Rishihud University in Sonepat, Haryana. He is also a visiting professor at the London School of Economics.

Established in 2018, the Bloomberg new economy is a worldwide community of multinational CEOs, public authorities, new -intellectuals and financiers. With meetings held at Singapore, Beijing, Panama City, Dublin, Markesh and Sao Paulo.
