The Chief Justice of India praised former Chief Justice NV Ramna, who exchanged a warm neck, while East received advice from his predecessor on the role of the judiciary.
Speaking in his book stories from the bench: A judge launched a speaking launch, Justice Ramana said that Justice Gawai will bring humility and sympathy for the judiciary. He said, “As elder brothers and sisters in the judicial family, Honorable judges of the Supreme Court have a moral and institutional duty to take care of all judges of the country,” he soon said on a note of advice to his successor.
Justice Ramna said that the judiciary thrives on the trust of the people and “improper attacks on this institution affect the foundation of people’s faith”, saying that the institution has strengthened every time after facing challenges.
In Bonomi’s performance, Justice Gawai called Justice Ramna his elder brother, credited him to his vision in making justice accessible to ordinary citizens. “I think he should be one of the first Chief Justice of India who separated the snow of the judges from the public,” he said.
Justice Gawai, who is to handle as the Chief Justice on 14 May, “he believed in going to the people.
Justice Gawai also highlighted the three similarities shared with Justice Ramna and Justice Surya Kant. “The three of us are coming from a rural background. The three of us belong to the agricultural families, and the three of us are the first generation of lawyers,” he said.
Justice Gawai also recalled the historic moment in the history of the Supreme Court, when the nine-judges were sworn in in 2021 when the CJI Raman was in cases of cases. He said that one of the judges who were sworn on that day, Justice BV Nagratna, is in queue to be the first woman Chief Justice of India. “I found him (Justice Ramana) a true person, very loving and careful, a person full of humanity, sympathy, sympathy and compassion, who has all been printed in his decisions and also that we have presented the speech presented to us in the compilation of the bench stories: A judge says,” Justice Gawai said.
