A gun fight between the security forces and four terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir has broken a gun fight, the security establishment sources have said. The encounter initially started in Kulgam and then shifted to a forest area in Shopian. Security personnel of the army and paramilitary forces have now been fighting terrorists for about two hours. Security forces stopped the terrorists after an intelligence input.
Time is important. This operation comes after vermilion, after the Pahalgam terror attack, India’s counterstroke, in which 26 innocents were murdered in cold blood. India has carried out airstrikes against the terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan -occupied Kashmir and warned that any terrorist attack will now be seen as an act of war and attracted a difficult response.
In his address of the nation yesterday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that Operation Sindoor has engraved a new benchmark in India’s fight against terrorism and established a “new general”.
“First, if there is a terrorist attack on India, a suitable answer will be given. We will only give a reaction to our terms. We will take strict action everywhere from where the roots of terrorism come out. Secondly, India will not tolerate any nuclear blackmail.” Third, we will not interfere with the government sponsoring the masterminds of terrorism and terrorism. On May 10, a ceasefire was announced, but the Indian armed forces have said that they are looking closely at Pakistan and will take any misconception.
