The family of a zipline operator Muzamil, accused of shouting “Allahu Akbar” during the Pahgam terror attack, has defended his son. According to Muzamil’s father Abdul Aziz, his son was scared and crying after the incident.
Muzamil’s father, Abdul Aziz told Annie, “Now, Mujamil is with the police. He was very scared, he started crying at that time. He said,” Don’t say anything about me, nothing happened here. “
When asked that Viral video where Muzamil was seen calling “Allahu Akbar”He said, “Even though there is a storm, we say Allahu Akbar. What is the mistake we have in this? Muzamil used to work only with the zipline; he did not do any other work.”
He emphasized that Muzamil was only doing his work and he did not harm.
Earlier today, Congress MP Pramod Tiwari called for a thorough investigation of a viral video, showing a tourist enjoying ziplining in Pahalgam, where the tourist claimed that the zipline operator shouted “Allahu Akbar”.
“This is a matter of investigation. I have also seen that video. There should be an investigation into it … The truth should come out … No security forces were deployed there … everyone other than the Government of India knew that a large number of tourists were coming there (in Pahalgam) ..” He said.
On social media, a video of Gujarat tourist Rishi Bhatt went viral, where he was seen in a ziplining adventure when the terrorists started firing.
Talking to ANI in Ahmedabad about his viral video, Bhatt alleged that the zipline operator shouted “Allahu Akbar” thrice, after which the firing began. He said that he had doubts about the Kashmiri Zipline operator.
“Nine people ziplin in front of me, but the operator did not even say a word. When I was slipping, he used to talk, and then firing started. So, I have doubts about the man. He said that ‘Allahu Akbar’ started three times and then firing started … He looked like a regular Kashmiri,” Bhatt said.
“Firing began when I was ziplining … After about 20 seconds, I realized that it was a terrorist attack … and people were being killed on the ground,” Bhatt said Annie recalling Annie. “I saw 5-6 people shooting.”
After that, he separated himself from the zipline and ran away with his family.
He said, “I exposed my belt and jumped down, took my wife and son and started running.
The attack in the initiative took place on April 22 in Basaron Meadow, where terrorists targeted tourists, 25 Indian citizens and a Nepali citizen were killed, and many others were injured.
After the attack, the central government has said that the terrorists responsible for the attack and the conspirators behind it will have to face serious punishment.
