Talking to Annie, he said, “I really don’t know what happened. I opened my shop in the morning and sat outside. They started killing the doors, fed the bricks, and finally broke the doors. My television, my mirror, my furniture, 2-3 Almirah, and all my money were at home. We came here before yesterday.”

After unrest, leaders of various political parties blamed West Bengal, led by Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, while the situation deteriorates.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has attacked the West Bengal government on violence in Murshidabad, accusing Mamata Banerjee’s government of remaining silent, while the situation deteriorates.

Addressing a gathering, CM Yogi also thanked the Calcutta High Court for ordering the deployment of central forces in Murshidabad.

“Bengal is burning. The Chief Minister of the state is silent. He calls the rioters ‘messengers of peace’. But those who understand only the force will not listen to the words. In the name of secularism, he has given full freedom to create disturbance to the rioters. There has been a fire in the entire Murshidabad since last week.

BJP leader Dilip Ghosh alleged that the West Bengal government led by Mamta Banerjee is making “Bangladesh -like situation” in the state after recent incidents of violence in Murshidabad.

“Mamta Sarkar is helping to create a situation like Bangladesh here. If they claim that the crooks are external, why are they not being caught? What is the police doing? It is not the duty of the government that it is not the duty of the government to play the blame. He is not able to vote,” he said.

Congress leader and former MP of Berhampore, Adhir Ranjan Chaudhary, met the injured victims in Murshidabad during the protest on 11 April and slammed the Mamta government for “silence”, while people are “struggling to survive.”

Talking to ANI after meeting the victims at Murshidabad Medical College and Hospital in Berhampur, Mr. Chaudhary criticized the “silence” of the state government -led state government on the Murshidabad violence, in which three people have lost their lives and the scores were injured. He said, “Many people have been hospitalized, but the police and the state government are silent. People are struggling to survive, yet the state government does not say anything.”

Government sources said on Tuesday that the Union Home Ministry (MHA) has been conveyed to the preliminary investigation into the Murshidabad violence, indicating the participation of the alleged Bangladeshi miscreants.

Preliminary reports suggest that the participation of Bangladeshi miscreants was allegedly assisted by local TMC leaders, who later lost control of these elements.

MHA is closely monitoring activities in Murshidabad and other sensitive districts in Murshidabad and has deployed at least 900 Border Security Force personnel, about nine companies in Murshidabad. Of these nine companies, 300 BSF personnel are locally available, which are with additional companies at the request of the state government.

Violence occurred on 11 April in Muslim-confusing Mursidabad district during an protest on the Waqf (Amendment) Act. The protest was swept away in Malda, Murshidabad, South 24 Parganas and Hooghly districts, causing arson, stone-pelting and blockade on the road.
