We are in close contact with all the bereaved families and local community associations to provide possible assistance,” The High Commission of India has written in Ottawa.

Another aunt Meena said, “We appeal to the government to send India as soon as possible. Our daughter should be sent back home.”

Vanshika’s uncle has also appealed to the Canadian government to get to the bottom of the case, interrogate friends and test and understand what happened.
