FIR was sought against Rahul Gandhi on comment on Lord Ram at US Brown University Boston

A complaint against Congress leader Rahul Gandhi was described as Lord Ram as a mythical and fictional person on his alleged remarks at an American university in an American university on Monday, demanding that an FIR be lodged under the relevant punishment provisions.

The All India Congress Committee (AICC) has also been nominated as a party in the case. The court set a hearing on May 19.

Advocate Harishankar Pandey, who filed a complaint, alleged that Mr. Gandhi made a controversial remarks on 21 April during a address at Brown University in Boston, and called it “abusive speech”, which hurt the feelings of “Sanatanis”.

Mr. Pandey said that he had come in Mr. Gandhi’s statement through a local newspaper.

According to the complaint, the Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha called Lord Ram and the stories from that era a mythical and imaginary. The complaint was filed in the MP-MLA court of Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate Neeraj Kumar Tripathi.

Mr. Pandey said that the court accepted the complaint and fixed on May 19 for hearing.

He said that notices will be sent to Mr. Gandhi, a resident of Varanasi and Ajay Rai, President of Uttar Pradesh Congress.

In his complaint, Mr. Pandey said that Mr. Gandhi should be called to face punishment for offenses committed under the Indian Judgment (BNS) Section 196 (promote enmity between various groups on the basis of religion, breed etc.), 351 (criminal threats), 353 (353 (356 (defense) and 356 (defense).
