In the backdrop of the ongoing military conflict between India and Pakistan, a senior Foreign Ministry (Mea) official on Friday said that “We hope we hope that the current situation does not grow.”
The Secretary (Economic Relations) in Mea, Damu Ravi said, it said, in response to an event on the influence of any struggle on the economy, in response to a query and in such cases necessary flexibility, especially in view of the current scenario.
Prior to his conversation with the audience, Mr. Ravi addressed the event organized by the Public Affairs Forum of India (PAFI) in the shadow of military provocative between India and Pakistan.
“Safety, development and economic growth are highly inter-linked concepts worldwide. Therefore, in a conflict, the industry will naturally recur, and place aside and take time to improve the situation,” Mr. Ravi said.
“We must be hopeful that the current struggle does not move forward, and decreases,” he said, without naming any country.
Till then, the industry will do what it thinks that it is correct, which will be normally – “does not want to take risk”, the MEA official said.
India neutralized Pakistan’s efforts to hit military stations at Jammu, Pathankot, Udampur and some other places along with some other places on Thursday night, as tension increased between the two countries amid fear of a widespread military conflict.
Sirens and several explosions were carried out at Akhanur, Samba, Baramulla and Kupwara and many other places, as the Indian Army carried out a large -scale aerial vigilance along with the border with Pakistan.
After the Indian Army thwarted Pakistani efforts, the Ministry of Defense stated that the country is “fully prepared to protect its sovereignty and ensure the safety of its people”.
