Former IPS officer started ‘Hindu Sena Party’ ahead of Bihar assembly elections

Former IPS officer Shivdeep Lande on Tuesday announced the formation of a new political organization ‘Hindu Sena Party’, which he announced, will contest the upcoming assembly elections in Bihar.

Mr. Lande, who resigned from the Indian Police Service less than a year ago, announced at a press conference here.

The 2006 batch officer, whose fiery style of functioning, earned him as ‘Singham of Bihar’, said that he considered the state to be a ‘karmabhumi’ despite his roots in Maharashtra.

In particular, the 49 -year -old IPS officer is the son of a Shiv Sena leader and former Maharashtra minister Vijay Shivtare.

Talking to reporters, Mr. Lande said, “I tried my best to serve people while in IPS, when I was bound by the rules of All India service conduct.

Saying that the fleeing organization chose the assembly elections “100 percent”, however, Mr. Lande spoke about its possibility of entering the land.

“We are currently focusing on the creation of the organization. You can consider all the candidates of Hind Sena Party as fighting for Shivdeep Lande”, the official said.

He claimed that “I am not looking for any shortcut to enjoy power. After my resignation, I got a Rajya Sabha ticket offer from an established party. But I was chasing my own ideals. I traveled in Bihar and felt that there is a scope for a political option”.
