G7 nations condemned the Pahalgam terror attack, India, Pakistan call for de-skeleton between Operation Sindoor of India

The G7 countries on Saturday urged an immediate de-escation amid growing tension between India and Pakistan after the alleged missile attacks.

“We, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, United Kingdom and the United States G7 Foreign Minister and High Representative of the European Union, strongly condemn the arrogant terrorist attack in Pahgam on 22 April and urge both India and Pakistan for maximum restraint,” a statement said.

“Further military growth is a serious threat to regional stability. We are deeply concerned about the safety of citizens on both sides.”

“We ask for immediate de-size and encourage the two countries to engage in a peaceful result directly into a dialogue. We continue to monitor the events closely and express our support for a fast and permanent diplomatic resolution,” this said.

The Canada is taking 2025 G7 Presidency with the 2025 G7 Leaders Summit, which will be held from 15 to 17 June in Kananskis in Alberta.

Meanwhile, India’s Defense Ministry said in a press statement on Saturday that the drone has been seen at 26 places along the international border and along with Pakistan along the Line of Control (LOC), including suspected armed drones.

The places include Baramulla, Srinagar, Avantpora, Nagrota, Jammu, Ferozepur, Pathankot, Fazilka, Lalgarh Jatta, Jaisalmer, Bermer, Bhuj, Kurbet and Lakh Nala.

A spokesman for the ministry said: “Sadly, an armed drone targeted a civilian area in Ferozpur, resulting in injuries to a local family members. Medical assistance has been provided to the injured and the area has been cleaned by security forces.”

“Indian armed forces are maintaining a high status of alerts, and all such aerial threats are being tracked and attached using the counter-drain system. The situation is close and a constant watch and wherever necessary, quick action is being taken.”

The Ministry of Defense also urged citizens, especially in the border areas, living indoors, limiting unnecessary agitation, and strictly following the safety instructions issued by the local authorities, while saying that there is no need for nervousness, vigilance and caution.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday chaired a high level meeting with Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, NSA Ajit Dawal and all the armed forces heads.
