“Gaurav Gogoi spent 15 days in Pakistan”: Himant Sarma’s big charge

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma took a step forward against Congress MP Gaurav Gogoi today, making some very serious allegations against the deputy leader of the opposition in the Lok Sabha. He claimed that Mr. Gogoi spent 15 days in Pakistan and some of his works could indirectly support the Pakistan Army.

Gaurav Gogoi remains to respond to the allegations. However, he has not yet denied his visits to Pakistan.

Speaking at a press conference at Public Service Bhawan in Guwahati, Mr. Sarma said: “We have accurate evidence, and it has been officially registered that Gaurav Gogoi went to Pakistan. His arrival and departure was recorded on the Attari border.”

Mr. Gogoi, he said, stayed in Islamabad for 15 days. For the first seven days, his wife was with him.

“After that, she returned to India, but she continued her stay. We are all in possession of travel details. It is no longer speculation,” said Mr. Sarma.

On returning to India, Mr. Gogoi took around 90 boys and girls to the Pakistan Embassy. Many of them have said that they were unaware that they were going to the Pakistan Embassy, ​​and it belongs to the depth, the Chief Minister said.

He said, “There are questions about whether he visited the army headquarters, Lahore, Sindh, or other sensitive places. They should be replied, being compiled with coroborescent documentation – passports and immigration records – being compiled,” he said.

“He is only an Indian citizen. His wife is British, and his children allegedly have different foreign citizenship. He can change his passport at any time,” said Mr. Sarma.
