Expressing strong support for India after the Pahalgam attack and operation vermilion, Germany has said that the country has every right to defend itself against terrorism.
Addressing a joint press conference with External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar on Friday, German Foreign Minister Johan Wadeful said, “We were all affected by the cruel terrorist attack on India on 22 April. We condemn the strongest conditions of this attack on citizens. Our deepest sympathy goes out for all victims and their families.”
He said, “After military attacks on both sides … and India, of course, every right to defend itself against terrorism … The fact that is in a trusa place, something is something we appreciate,” he said.
Following proposals for mediation from the US and President Donald Trump, underlining another major point from the Indian perspective, the minister continued, “What is important now is that this Trus is stable, this dialogue may be to find a bilateral solution.”
