Google is expected to unveil its Pixel 10 series with its next generation Soc-Tensor G5 later this year. The new chipset is said to be developed in partnership with TSMC. As we wait for the arrival of the new generation pixel phone with a new custom-made chip, a report from China shows that Google will continue its partnership with TSMC for a few years. It is said to use TSMC chipset through the Pixel 14 series in 2029.
Google’s partnership with TSMC to continue for next 3-5 years
According to a report by digitims, Google is strengthening its partnership With Taiwan’s semiconductor industry. Reports suggest that Google officials visited TSMC in Taiwan to discuss longer cooperation, suggested a multi-year partnership, which may extend to the future pixel model, including the pixel 14 chains, which is believed to have reached in 2029.
The report states, “The cooperation between the two parties will last for many years, at least until the new Pixel 14 stage, which is about three to five years later”. Beyond the smartphone, cloud-based TPU chips, IC design, server and liquid cooling companies (translated) are likely to expand in collaboration with Google with Taiwanese firms.
The upcoming Pixel 10 series, asked to launch at the end of 2025, was reportedly introduced by the TSMC of Google. This is manufactured using the 3Nm process. The lineup is expected to include four models – Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL and Pixel 10 Pro folds.
The previous leak shows that the Tensor G5 chip will improve hardware changes and Tensor G4. This may always include a compute (AOC) audio processor, Google Emerald Hill Memory Co-Processor, Google GXP (DSP) and Google Edgetpu. Tenser G5 will reportly come with the arm cortex CPU core and it is said that this imagination technologies facilitates GPU from DXT.
