Pixel 10 Family is expected to officially go for some time in August with upgradation in last year’s Pixel 9 series. Earlier this week, it was reported that the Pixel 10 series QI2 would provide support for wireless charging and in-built magnets. However, a new leak has now surfaced that contradicts it. Google is also asked to launch a double port USB Type-C charger.
A recent report has revealed that the Pixel 10 series will offer a QE 2.2 wireless charging with a magnetic power profile (MPP) standard, and the tech giant is installing an ecosystem of goods known as ‘Pixelsnaap’. This ecosystem includes items such as pixelsnap charger, pixelsnap charger with stand and a pixelsnaap ring stand. It was reported that the phone would come with in-built magnets. Now, a new report of Android Headlines denies this claim and states that Pixel 10 series will require a case To use the above pixelsnap accessories.
Google is allegedly instead of adding them to the phone in its official Pixel 10 cases including QE2-compatible magnets. This indicates that users must receive a supported case to use QE2 wireless charging accessories.
Many Android phones were launched this year, such as Samsung Galaxy S25 series and OnePlus 13, follow the same pattern, requiring a separate case with in-built magnets to align with wireless chargers. However, Apple’s iPhone model includes internal magnets since 2020, allowing a spontaneous attachment of goods without the need for special cases.
In addition, the report claims that Google will start selling a new dual-port USB Type-C charger. The company is currently selling a single-port USB Type-C charger. The new charger can provide 45W charging speed with each other slow port, the possibility of use with the pixel watch charger.
The latest Pixel family, which is expected to include Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL, and Pixel 10 Pro folds, is expected to be manufactured by Google event on 20 August. The phone can ship with the new tensor G5 chipset. The company is asked to offer Pixel 10 models for pre-order on the same day. The sale of the phone can begin later on August 28.
