Google rolled out the May 2025 update for pixel devices on Tuesday. It has been released as an over-the-air (OTA) update for the company’s latest Pixel 9 series, Pixel Tablet and other old models running the latest Android 15 OS. According to Google, May 2025 updates improve for issues related to audio, Bluetooth and framework. In addition, it also bundles the latest May security patch, which improves the three systems weakened labeled as “high” in severity.
Google Pixel May 2025 Update
A Google Community Manager expanded the Pixel update for May 2025 to a global model on a support with BP1A.250505.005, BP1A.2505.005.005.005.B1, and BD4A.2505.003. PageAdditionally, Pixel devices associated with carrier such as Taiwan+Emea, Verizon, and Deutsche Telekom may get updates with slightly different identifiers.

- Google Pixel Tablet
- Google pixel fold
- Google Pixel 7 Series
- Google Pixel 6 Series
According to Changelog, one of the fixes is for audio-related problems, which reduced the microphone recording quality in some apps in Google’s entire Pixel smartphone lineup. It also includes a patch that cures Bluetooth pairing issues with some smartwatch under certain conditions. Google says that users reported another problem, resulting in some terms under some conditions, there was an error when displaying secondary language in quick settings. This bug is also fixed with the latest updates.
In addition to bug fix, google’s pixel security Bulletin The update states that the update bundles a security patch for three general vulnerability and exposure (CVE) with “high” severity. One of them is listed with the identifier CVE-2025-27700 and was discovered in the Oobconfig subcontinent. Meanwhile, weaknesses were also discovered in Bluetooth and kernel subcontinants, respectively with identifier CVE-2024-56193 and CVE-2025-27701. May 2025 update also brings a patch for them.
