Government facts-Pak propagation amid tension on Pahgam

A wave of misunderstanding has flooded on social media as Pakistan has tried to push its publicity online. Pahgam Terror AttackOne such wrong information is related to Northern Army Commander Lt Gen MV Suchindra Kumar.

The government has found that the pro -Pakistan social media account “false claims” are being removed from his post after Lieutenant General Kumar. Some reports also claimed that Lieutenant General Kumar was arrested or taken into custody for security flaws.

All these reports have been marked as “wrong” by the fact-checking arm of the Press Information Bureau.

The government said, “Many social media accounts of Pakistan claim that Northern Commander Lieutenant General Suchindra Kumar has been removed from his post after the Pahgam incident. The claims being made in these posts are fake,” the government said.

The government said that Lieutenant General Kumar is retiring on 30 April. Lieutenant General Pratik Sharma will be appointed as the commander of the Northern Army after the supernation of Lieutenant General Kumar, said PIB Fact-Check.

Yesterday, claims of an Indian Rafale fighter jet were being shot by Pakistan, marked by the government as “false”. The Pakistan Army has not shot any Indian fighter jet, the government had insisted.

On Monday, some documents are being broadcast online by the government as “fake”, claiming that they were leaked information about the preparations for the Indian Army.

Online promotion seems part of Pakistan’s efforts to control the story war as it faces a serious allegation of running global terrorism.

Tension between the two countries has increased as the terrorist relations of Islamabad came to light in the massacre of 26 civilians in Pahgam on 22 April. Terrorists who carried out the attack were called under the control of Hafiz Saeed, the mastermind of the 26/11 attack and the head of the Pakistan-based Lashkar-e-Taira Group.

Since the terrorist attack, Pakistan has been violating the ceasefire on the line of control with unsafe firing on the posts of Indian Army. In a major growth, his soldiers opened fire on the international border last night. Indian soldiers and LoC, who protected the border, effectively responded to the violation of all ceasefire.

Not only Pakistan’s army, but politicians and ministers are also giving stimulating statements. Latest Pakistan Information Minister Attaula Tarar claimed that India is planning a “military action” in the next 24-36 hours.

Sources show that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given the Indian armed forces an independent hand to set the goal and time of his response to the Pahalgam attack.
