Hard work and determination are important for the success of Justice Bhushan Gawai and they have earned it by serving the poor and needy, their mother.

Justice Gawai is set to take oath as the Chief Justice of India on Wednesday. He will succeed CJI Sanjeev Khanna.

Talking to reporters here on Tuesday, his mother Kamaltai Gawai said that he feels that his son would do full justice with his new position.

Justice Gawai is a native of Amravati district in Maharashtra and former Bihar Governor, Kerala and Sikkim are the son of late Gawai, who was also the leader of the Republican Party of India.

Kamaltai Gawai said, “As a mother I wanted and hoped my children would follow their father’s footsteps and serve the society, treat people with respect and give them justice despite their stature.

“This is a moment of happiness and happiness for all. It is a moment of satisfaction for us, because in difficult situations from a very young age and after overcoming many problems, he has reached such a high situation,” he said.

He said that his son has reached the top position not immediately but through his hard work.

He said, “Whatever position he has held so far, he has done justice to him. I think he will do justice to the position of CJI.”

Justice Gawai completed his early education at a humble local school in Amravati, said Kamaltai.

He said, “I give credit for his success and at the top place he has reached his hard work and determination.”

He performs a lot of social work and donation. He said that he helps many needy people in terms of providing financial assistance and affecting his hospital expenses.

“I think he received a reward for the poor and the needy for his service,” said a proud mother Kamaltai.

After becoming a CJI, she expects what work she expects from her son, for a query, Kamaltai said, “I think as the Chief Justice, her work will support the country and their decisions will be oriented to people.” Talking to reporters, Justice Gawai’s younger sister Kirti Arjun expressed happiness saying that he has come from a very common background, so such a large situation has been achieved.

“This is not only for the Gawai family and Amravati, but also for the whole of Maharashtra,” he said.

She said that she was completely convinced that her brother would fulfill this responsibility very honestly.

“He is also very sensitive and practical. He works together with his brain and his heart. That is why, all his decisions are a reflection of his foresight, which can take the society forward. I congratulate Bhushan Dada and I completely believe that he will take forward Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar’s legacy.”
