The Union Ministry of Health and Center-operated AIIMS, Safdarjung and Ram Manohar Lohia Hospitals have canceled the unilateral emergency protocols between all its officers and employees in the national capital and a military deadlock between India and Pakistan between a military deadlock.
Health Minister JP NADDA on Friday developed after reviewing the preparations for hospitals in the country and directed the authorities to ensure that all medical emergency response systems are fully equipped and functional.
“In view of the imminent situation, any holiday of any kind, including the station holiday, any officer, except medical grounds, until further orders, further, already approved holiday, if any, if any, is canceled and the officers who are on leave are directed to resume their duties immediately. Control officers can give instructions to their officers/officers.”
After this, orders were given as AIIMS Trauma Center, Ram Manohar Lohia and Safdarjung Hospital Administration.
“In view of the office order on 9 May, 2025, by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and in view of the adjacent position and preparations of the emergency response system, it has been decided that any officer/officers will be given any kind of holiday, including station holiday, any officer/officers regularly or except the outsource, except medical grounds, to further orders.”
“Further, already approved leaves, if any, canceled and officers/officers who are on leave are directed to resume their duties immediately,” it said.
The order was referred to for a large -scale casualty management mock drill held in the facility last week and said that it was fully prepared to get patients in case of any incident, it should be accompanied by burns, gun injuries and heads, necks, spinals and chest injuries.
“We have already arranged for general and ICU beds and our operation theaters are fully equipped to handle a large number of patients. If necessary, doctors, nurses and paramedical employees can be transferred from the main AIIMS to the trauma center,” Dr. Reema Dada said, Professor of Media Cell at MIIMS, Deli, Dr. Reema Dada said.
Additional Medical Superintendent of Safdarjung Hospital, Dr. Charu Bamba presided over a meeting with the authorities and directed him to pile up the hospital and its blood bank, and emergency facilities were primary with adequate manpower.
The meeting also decided that patients from the new emergency block of the hospital could be transferred to the super specialty block in case of any exaggeration.
In a review meeting of the Ministry of Health, JP NADDA emphasized the need to establish ground level relations with all state governments, especially international borders, to provide immediate healthcare in terms of emergency conditions.
In the backdrop of a military conflict with Pakistan, JP Nadda said that the 24×7 control and command center in the Ministry of Health should monitor the ongoing efforts and support states.
