Heavy rains, 6 km long traffic on Badrinath highway in Uttarakhand after landslides

Heavy rainfall in Uttarakhand has activated landslide areas, causing large -scale traffic jams when the debris and tourism season starts on the highway.

Landslides and heavy rains have given birth to a six -kilometer long traffic jam on the Badrinath highway, which is from Dhari Devi Temple to Khankara on the banks of the Alakanand River, which is six kilometers away.

Around 4 pm, a real -time Google Traffic Update showed more traffic on National Highway 7 (NH 7), which connects many pilgrims, Rishikesh, Devprayag, Rudraprayag, Karnaprayag, Chamoli, Joshimath and Badrinath.

The Dhari Devi Temple is Located Between Srinagar in Uttarakhand and Rudraprayag. The highway runs along the Alaknanda River.
