Jammu:
Union Home Minister Amit Shah arrived here on Sunday evening to launch his three -day visit to Jammu and Kashmir after the formation of the National Conference government headed by Chief Minister Omar Abdullah in the central region in October last year.
Mr. Shah was obtained at the technical airport by Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha and some senior BJP leaders, officials said, “Connecting the Home Minister will visit a further post along the Indo-Pakistan border and review the initiative of security and development during his visit.
He is about to visit the BJP headquarters in Trikuta Nagar on Sunday night to attend a meeting of party MLAs and other offices beer.
Shri Shah’s BJP headquarters trip took place with the Foundation Day of the party, which was celebrated by BJP workers and leaders with great enthusiasm at the headquarters during the day.
Officials said that police and security forces have been given high warnings in view of Mr. Shah’s visit.
On Monday, Mr. Shah will visit the BSF border outpost Vinay in Kathua and assess the ground situation there.
Later during the day, he will meet family members of the martyrs of Jammu and Kashmir Police at Raj Bhavan in Jammu and some of them will also present the appointment letters selected on kind grounds.
On 8 April, Mr. Shah will first take stock of various development programs in UT in a meeting held at Raj Bhawan in Srinagar for the first time.
Subsequently, he will attend another meeting at Raj Bhawan in Srinagar, where security situation in Jammu and Kashmir will be reviewed.
Earlier in the day, J&K BJP President Sat Sharma hoisted the party flag at the party headquarters in the presence of the party’s prominent leaders in the party headquarters in the presence of party leaders including MP Jugal Kishore Sharma, former Deputy Chief Minister Kavinder Gupta, and Leader of Opposition in J&Bali Sunil Sharma.
The party spokesperson said that senior party leaders hoisted the party flags in all organizational district headquarters, BJP offices and the 46th Foundation Day of the party on the roof of the BJP workers of Jammu and Kashmir.
