The Honor 400 series is scheduled to be launched globally on 22 May. Prior to the launch, the Chinese consumer tech brand has teased a new Artificial Intelligence (AI) feature of the upcoming smartphone series. It will get a new AI-powered image-to-video tool that can conscious a stable image. While not much is known about the new feature, reports claim that it can generate up to five-second-lumb videos with the same image. This AI feature is said to be operated by Google.
Honor 400 series can bring an AI video generator
One in Post On X (East was known as Twitter), Honor’s official global account teased a new “AI Image to Video” feature for the Honor 400 series smartphone. This AI tool will be available for the entire series. Describing the AI Tool, Huawei sub-brand stated that it could “easily turn your images into a breathtaking video.”
The post also shared a video of the feature showing the capacity of the AI Tool. Honor did not say much about this facility at this time. However, according to Huawei Central ReportThe AI image-to-video feature will be powered by Google’s Veo 2 model, which was released earlier this year.
Essentially it is a live photo feature that can conscious a video, but it does not actually use that image as a reference to generate creative videos. According to the report, the equipment will generate five-second-lumb videos from a single stable image.
Additionally, the publication highlighted that the tool can generate videos from both portraits and landscape images, and it takes a few minutes to produce outputs. The tool can be allegedly accessible from the phone gallery app. However, a negative side is that there is no option to add a text prompt to tell AI to tell what the user wants to see the video.
The image-to-video tool will be allegedly available to honor 400 smartphone users for free for the first two months. During this period, users are asked to get 10 video generations per day. After that, membership is required to generate a video. While the details are not clear, the convenience may require Google an AI premium membership.
