“I also get danger calls, we can’t help it”: Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah

Bengaluru:

Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah revealed on Friday that he received a danger call.

He revealed during his visit to Mandya, while answering a question from the media about the threat to the Speaker UT Khadher.

“I also get a danger call – we cannot help it. The police department has been informed. We have instructed them to find out the danger calls and take appropriate action.”

When asked again, Siddaramaiah confirmed this by Siddaramaiah. “Yes, I have also received a danger call.”

Responding to a question about the murder of Hindu activist Suhas Shetty in Mangalore, Siddaramaiah said: “I have to see the details of the case. I spoke to the police yesterday. It seems that he had a history of a nuisance sheet. We have already sent ADGP, law and order, have already sent the matter.

“Whoever can be the accused, a human life is valuable. In this regard, I have directed the authorities to identify the accused and ensure that they have been arrested and legal action is taken against them.”

Asked if the murder was predetermined, Siddaramaiah said: “We have to find out whether it was pre -planned or not. I do not yet know. It will come up during investigation.”

Regarding BJP leaders going to Mangaluru to attend Shetty’s funeral, CM Siddaramaiah commented: “BJP leaders are always looking for such incidents to exploit for political objectives.”

“What do BJP leaders have to say about the Pahalgam terror attack last week? Has Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited the site? Twenty -six people lost their lives. The terrorists set them on fire. Did the Prime Minister say?” He asked.

“Is this not a security failure? Is it not a lapse? One of our leaders who visited Kashmir told me that there were not a single security or policeman present there. What does it mean? Hundreds of tourists go there – shouldn’t the police be deployed?”

Asked about the increase in alcohol prices during his tenure, CM Siddaramaiah said: “Do you know about the temporance policy? This idea is not to ban alcohol completely, but to reduce the consumption of alcohol. The rising prices are part of an attempt to curb drinking habits.”
