Bhopal:
A video of a woman throwing her mother -in -law in Madhya Pradesh has gone viral with her husband, who is now in the light of the merit murder, fearing herself and her mother’s life. The elderly woman is allegedly dragged by her daughter -in -law at her Gwalior home, when she tried to save her son from throwing her in -laws.
Vishal Batra, who runs a car spare shop, and his mother Sarla Batra complained to the police that his in -laws entered his house and attacked him that he was a “small issue”. Mr. Batra later told reporters that his wife was insisting on sending his mother to the old age house – which he refused.
Ms. Batra claimed that her daughter -in -law called her father on 1 April, after which she reached her house in the Adarsh Colony with some goons. CCTV video showed Vishal Batra inside his house when his father -in -law entered the house and suddenly slapped him. He tried to hit back, but some others were severed from inside and started beating him.
His wife, who was on the first floor, came down and pulled her mother -in -law, who was trying to save her son. The video showed her dragging the woman with her hair and some punches landed on her arms.
His minor son – visually scared – was also present during the attack.
In another video, Mr. Batra was attacked on the streets and his son tried to take his mother away. Sarla Batra, who now has an inflammation, alleged that his son’s in -laws pulled him out and the attack continued. Neighbors soon intervened, and the matter went to the police station.
“I am very upset. I can’t take it anymore. They called the goons, and his father and brother thrash us.
Mr. Batra alleged that his brother -in -law threatened him at the police station that he would kill him and his mother. And that his in -laws also captured their house – allegedly valuable in crores – and closed it, causing them to trap him out. He alleged that his wife also threatened to file false charges against him and his mother.
“I am afraid that like the incident in Meerut, my wife may kill me and my old mother,” he told reporters, pointing to a serious murder in which a woman and her lover murdered her husband, cut her body, and hid her in a drum.
His wife and father -in -law have not yet been publicly commented on the matter.
Mr. Batra also claimed that the police were initially reluctant to help but later filed an FIR. On Friday, he went to the Superintendent of Police Office, after which Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Vishal Batra assured him of strict action.
