New Delhi:
India has blocked the Global Times and Xinhua news agency’s X (East Twitter) account, Chinese state -run media outletS, about its publication that the Center described as “disintegration” about Operation Sindoor, which was a cross-individual operation that targets cross-border terrorist infrastructure by the army.
Global Times is an English tabloid newspaper under the daily of people owned by the Chinese Communist Party, while Xinhua is China’s official news agency.
Following this move, a public reprimand issued by the Indian Embassy by the Indian Embassy earlier this week warned the Global Times on its coverage of military operation. In a direct post on X, the embassy said: “Dear @globaltimesnews, we will advise you to verify your facts and check your sources before pushing out such disintegration.”
In a follow -up message, the embassy explained in detail that several social media accounts sympathetic to Pakistan had broadcast unbalanced claims related to the alleged damage by the Indian armed forces.

The Embassy post said, “Many supporters are spreading baseless claims in the context of Pakistan handle #Operationsindoor, trying to mislead the public. When media outlets share such information without verifying sources, this responsibility and journalism reflect a serious omission,” said the post of the Embassy.
The official X account of the Global Times now reads: “The account has been stopped. @Globaltimesnews has been stopped in response to legal demand.”
The Press Information Bureau (PIB) Fact Czech unit has been actively flagging misinformation after hostility. Many misleading scenes and narratives were detected for recycled or medical materials, with origin or completely fabricated in old events.
Earlier in the day, India issued a statement that claimed regional claims on Arunachal Pradesh, condemning China’s new efforts.
Mea spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said on Wednesday, “We have seen that China has remained with its futile and predetermined efforts for the names of places in the Indian state of Arunachal Pradesh.” The Ministry of External Affairs said in a statement, “According to our royal status, we clearly dismiss such efforts. There will not be a change in the undisputed reality of Arunachal Pradesh in creative naming, and will always be an integral and unqualified part of India.”
China, which claims Arunachal Pradesh as part of its territory, has often released maps with several places within the Northeast State. In 2024, China released a list of 30 new names from different places in Arunachal Pradesh, which India clearly rejected.
