On Thursday, a day before an important meeting of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) in Washington, India, India indicated that it could communicate its approach to the global financial body on its bailout package for Pakistan.
Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri said that India’s Executive Director in IMF will carry forward the situation of the country during the board meeting of the global body on Friday.
“I am sure our executive director will pursue India’s position,” he said in a media briefing.
“The board’s decisions are a different case … but I think the matter in relation to Pakistan should be clear for those who open their pockets generously to take out this country,” he said.
Mr. Misri said that many of the 24 bailout packages sanctioned by the IMF for Pakistan had not come to a successful conclusion.
Foreign Secretary’s comments came against terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan -occupied Kashmir in Pakistan since the tension between India and Pakistan between India and Pakistan.
