Indian astronaut-supported Shubhinhu Shukla to fly to space station in May

Announcing a timeline for what a huge milestone will be in India’s space trip, the Center has said that Gaganatri, or astronaut-nominated, group captain Shubhinhu Shukla will fly to the International Space Station next month.

Group Captain Shukla, who has been training with NASA and private space company Axiom Space for the last eight months, has been flying to ISS on a private commercial mission, for which India has paid $ 60 million. The mission will be launched on a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket and the crew of four will be seated in a spacex crew dragon capsule, which will be away from the Kennedy Space Center in Florida, USA.

The group Captain is 40 years old and the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) chose the youngest in its astronaut names for this mission as he has a long career ahead of.

The AXIOM-4 (AX-4) mission commander will be Paigi Whitson, former astronaut of NASA, who now works for the Axiom space. The other two crew members are Slavose Uznanski of Poland, a European Space Agency Astronaut and a mission expert, and Hungary’s Tibor Kapu, who will also have the same role. The group will be the pilot of Captain Shukla Mission.

Minister Singh said that the mission will mark the first journey of the international space station by an Indian astronaut and would be the first astronaut from the group captain Shukla country, who will travel in space in four decades after the 1984 flight of Rakesh Sharma, a Soviet Soyuz spacecraft, a Soviet Soyuz spacecraft.
