The T-72 tanks rolled to the Line of Control and participated in the May 7 Operation vermilion, which destroyed terrorist bases at 9 places in Pakistan and Pakistan-Kashmir Kashmir, an Indian Army official has described NDTV in a special interview. Tanks – and BMP -2 armored personnel carriers – are still stationed with LoC – indicate the high -finished position of the army despite the ongoing ceasefire with Pakistan.
Talking to NDTV, a colonel, whose name is not being revealed due to security concerns, said he was placed in a position before Operation Sindoor to take the specific goals marked by the army.
In the operation, his important role was to destroy the routes through which terrorists could infiltrate India – as a pre -khali measure.
He said, “We also hit enemy positions that were providing intrusion facilities. We know which posts are used by the enemy for infiltration. An informed call was taken – and the target was hit,” he told NDTV.
Given their fatal accuracy, the tank, he said, was used from restraint to prevent growth.
The T-72S is fitted with 125 mm guns “and we also have missiles with 4000 meters,” he said.
Pointing to India’s measured response, “Only a fraction of the equipment was used to combat a violation of the ceasefire … 300-mm guns and 4000-meter missiles could have a devastating effect on the enemy,” he said to India’s measured response.
He also indicated that men and equipment were ready to roll whenever the orders came.
Operation Sindoor was launched on 7 May – a vengeance against the horrific terrorist attack on tourists in Pahgam in Jammu and Kashmir, in which 25 Indians and a Nepali tourist died on 22 April.
Indian vengeance expelled the headquarters of Lashkar E -Tabiba -one of which claimed responsibility for the Pahalgam attack -and Jai -e -Mohammad. More than 100 terrorists were killed, some of them wanted a handful of various attacks in India, including the kidnapping of an Indian airline aircraft for Kandahar in 1999.
While the role of the Air Force, and the Army’s Infantry Division was known and appreciated, very rarely known about the portion played by the armored division. India had said that its action was “concentrated, measured and non-esclery”.
Pakistan attempted to hit back immediately with missiles and drones, but was trouped. On May 10, a ceasefire work was done.
The Center is now sending a team of 51 political leaders, MPs and former ministers who are cutting into party lines, who will visit major countries to fulfill India’s resolve to deal with terrorism against Operation Sindoor’s background.
