India have taken seven steps against Pakistan after a terrorist attack in Pahgam in Jammu and Kashmir, killing 26. The government yesterday announced five steps after discussing cross -border relations of the attack, and today took two more action.
The steps that India takes against Pakistan on terrorist attack
- India suspended the Indus Water Treaty of 1960 with immediate effect. The government said it would remain suspended until Pakistan tropically stops support for cross -border terrorism.
- The integrated check post attic was closed on Wednesday. People crossing with endorsements are allowed to return from that route before 1 May.
- The government no longer allowed Pakistani citizens to travel to India under the SAARC Visa Rebate Scheme (SSES) visa. The SSES visas issued earlier to Pakistani citizens were canceled. And all the Pakistanis holding SSES visas were asked to leave India in 48 hours.
- Defense/military, Navy and aerial advisors were declared personality non -Grate at the Pakistani High Commission in New Delhi, and a week to leave the country. India also announced that it would withdraw its defense employees from the Indian High Commission in Islamabad.
- India said that it will be done by May 1 by May 30, through the current 55 deduction from the current 55.
- The government today suspended visa services to Pakistani citizens with immediate effect. It asked all Pakistani citizens to leave India by 27 April. However, people who organize medical visas can remain only till 29 April.
- The Border Security Force (BSF) took a calibrated decision to reduce the formal performance during the retreat ceremony in Attari, Hussainiwala and Sadki in Punjab. Major changes include suspension of symbolic handshake of the Indian Guard Commander along with equivalent guard commander. The gates will remain closed during the ceremony. This step reflects India’s serious concern over across border enmity and confirms that peace and provocation cannot coexist, BSF said.
