IndiGo Plane makes ’emergency’ landing in Mumbai after the threat of the bomb


Mumbai:

The airport said that a Mumbai-bound Indigo plane from Jaipur with a plus crew of 225 passengers, landed at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA) on Monday under full emergency situations due to bomb threats.

Officials said the flight landed safely at around 8.50 am and the aircraft was taken to a remote bay for a thorough investigation as part of the security protocol.

The Mumbai Airport said, “A danger note was discovered from Jaipur (Jai) to Mumbai (BOM) at Mumbai (BOM). As a precaution, a full emergency was declared at Mumbai airport at 2043 pm. The flight lands safely at 2050. The operation of the airport is unaffected.”

“The CSMIA is actively coordinating with the airline and security agencies. Security of passengers and employees remains our top priority,” the statement said.
