Infinix Note 40 series confirmed to receive Android 15- based XOS 15 updates in this quarter

Infinix has announced that its Android 15-based XOS 15 update will soon be available for Infinix Note 40 series. The Chinese tech brand unveiled its version of Custom Android 15-based OS last month. In particular, the Infinix Note 50 series smartphones were the first handsets to ship with XOS 15. Updates include many new features, including vogue portraits to personalize dynamic bar, home screen wallpaper, and AI Assistant Flacks to show alert and notifications.

Stable updates will be rolled out in batches, so it is likely to take some time to reach all eligible smartphones. Infinix confirmed that specific upgrade for each model would be declared later that some countries asked not to support this update.

All models of Infinix Note 40 series were launched with Android 14- Based XOS 14 user interfaces. The brand released its XOS 15 interface last month. Infinix Note 50x 5G, which was launched in March, was the first device to run XOS 15 from the box in India. Infinix Note 50s 5G+, which is determined to be officially this week, is also confirmed to ship with this new custom skin.

The XOS 15 provides a new user interface with adaptable animations and font styles. It has a game mode to customize gaming performance and settings, and a vogue portrait functionality to customize wallpaper. The update includes a dynamic bar feature with Google Maps, Smart Panel and Support for PC connections. It comes with One-Tap Infinix AI functionality and provides many AI-based features like on-screen awareness, AI wallpaper generator, AI Note, Circle to Search, Writing Assistant and Infinix’s AI Assistant, Flacks. There is also a new AIGC portrait mode that enables users to create its funny avatars in many scenarios and templates in real time.
