IOS 26 2027 2027 iPhone model “liquid glass” for convenience of UI elements: Report: Report

WWDC 2025 closes later today and we are getting some last minute leaks that throw light on time to come. Mark Gurman of Bloomberg says that the iOS 26, which is likely to be the next recurrence of the iPhone operating system (OS), will have a new interface called “Liquid Glass”, which will have names showing elements throughout the UI. Apple is reported to be away from the current flat design and the new UI is expected to set the stage for the overhaul of the iPhone lineup next year.

In the latest version of Power on newspaperMark Gurman said that iOS 26 would include visual elements through a sheen and viewing a glass surface. Transparency and glitter effects in the operating system can be allegedly applied to toolbar, in-app interface and various controls on iPhones.

This confirms previous reports that indicate the inclusion of visual tweex that is said to bring the visual appearance of all apple operating systems with visionos. This is expected to result in continuous UI dynamics and a more harmonious experience in equipment.

According to Gurman, this overhaul of OS is in anticipation of changes in large numbers, Apple is estimated to make it in its iPhone lineup next year. The company will celebrate the 20th anniversary of the iPhone and the 2027 model is currently an all-glass concept in which wraps around the phone with curved sides. It is asked to sports slim bezels and a cutout section in the screen, which indicates to include the under-display camera. The alleged handset is being called “glasswing” internally.

The new liquid glass UI is also allegedly ready to be a savings face for apples as it is severely backward in the development and introduction of its promised Artificial Intelligence (AI) features. Cupertino-based tech veterans are yet to roll out the full capabilities of Apple Intelligence which was previewed during last year’s WWDC. This includes a more advanced version of Siri among other reforms.

However, WWDC 2025 is estimated to make very little contribution to rapidly tracking AI development and focus on making iOS “more competent and smooth”.

The annual developer conference is expected to have several announcements on PT (IST) at 10 am today. This will begin with an Apple CEO Tim Cook with a keynote speaker where the company will preview its latest OS repetitions.
