Israeli strike kills 146 Palestinians in Gaza in 24 hours: Report

Jerusalem:

Local health officials said on Saturday that the Israeli Air Force killed at least 146 Palestinians in new attacks on Gaza in the last 24 hours, local health officials said on Saturday, as the country was ready to move forward with a new land.

The Israeli attacks from Thursday have seen one of the deadliest stages of bombing since a truss collapse in March. US President Donald Trump ended his Middle East tour on Friday, as there was no clear progress towards a new ceasefire.

“Since midnight, we have found 58 martyrs, while a large number of victims remain under the rubble. The situation inside the hospital is havoc,” said the Indonesian Hospital director Marwan al-Sultan in North Gaza.

Local health officials said that 459 people were injured in Israeli attacks in the last 24 hours.

The Israeli army said on Saturday that it was conducting extensive attacks as part of the preparation to expand operations in the Gaza Strip and get “operational control” in the areas of Palestinian Enclave.

Gaza health system is barely going on with the Hospitals repeatedly hit by the Israeli army during the 19-month war and medical supply dried up as Israel has tightened its blockade since March.

The growth, including the construction of armored forces along the border, is part of the early stages of ‘Operation Gidon’s Wagons’, which Israel says its purpose is to defeat Hamas and bring back its hostages.

An Israeli Defense Officer said that this operation would not be started before the end of the Middle East of Trump earlier this month.

The army said on Saturday, “We are slowly increasing the forces; there is a shortage of humas.”

United Nations experts warned that Israel had a famine in Gaza after blocking aid delivery in the strip 76 days ago, United Nations Assistance Chief Tom Fletcher asked the Security Council this week whether it would work to “stop” a “massacre”.

Trump on Friday acknowledged Gaza’s growing hunger crisis and help, as international pressure on Israel to resume the ceasefire negotiations and end his blockade of Gaza.

The purpose of a US-supported Foundation is to begin to assist Ghazan by the end of May using private American security and logistics firms, but the United Nations said it will not work with the foundation as it is fair, neutral or independent.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on 5 May that Israel was planning an extended, intensive aggressive against Hamas as his security cabinet had approved schemes that may include seizing the entire Gaza Strip and controlling assistance.

On Friday, the Israeli army ordered Ghazan to move south after heavy attacks in the northern city of Beite Lahia and Jabalia refugee camps. However, the residents said that the tanks were moving towards the southern city of Khan, Younis.

Israel’s declared target in Gaza is the abolition of Hamas’s military and government capabilities, which attacked Israeli communities on October 7, 2023, killing around 1,200 people and seized about 250 hostages.

According to Gaza’s health officials, its military campaign has destroyed small, crowded enclaves, pushing almost all 2 million residents from their homes and killing more than 53,000 people.

NBC News on Friday cited five people with knowledge of the case, stating that the Trump administration is working on a plan to permanently transfer a million Palestinians from Gaza Strip to Libya.

The rival rights of Palestinians and President Mahmood Abbas, including Hamas, reject any displacement of people outside their land.
