Karnataka man gives prison time on the murder of his wife, he gets alive in court

Mysuru:

Here a court has ordered the Superintendent of Police (SP) to submit a full report before April 17, keeping in mind the serious note of Laps on behalf of the police, in which a woman in relation to a case, in which she was allegedly murdered by her husband in 2020, has now been revealed before.

It also comes in the form of Suresh, a woman named Mallaj spent almost one and a half years in jail on charges of murder.

The case is related to the arrest and imprisonment of Suresh, which is at the age of about 38, which lodged a complaint in December 2020 stating that his wife Mallige went missing from Kushalnagar in Kodagu district.

Subsequently, the police found a woman’s skeleton in Bettadapura (Periapatna Taluk) and filed a charge sheet in the court, alleging that the skeletal was of Mallig and Suresh was murdered. Then he was put in jail.

On 1 April, Mallig was found by a friend of Suresh in Madkeri, who saw him with another man.

The case was brought to notice of the fifth additional district and session court, and was later produced before the court.

Taking a serious note of police laps, the court on Thursday directed the SP to submit a full report on the case by 17 April.

Talking to reporters, Suresh’s advocate, Pandu Pujari said, “From a village in Kushalnagar, Suresh filed a complaint in Kushalnagar Rural Police Station in 2020 about the disappearance of his wife in 2020. At the same time, a skeleton was found a skeleton within a year of Hledrapur police. Illegal relations were found. Illegal relations were sent by the police.

“Even before the DNA report came, the police filed a final charge sheet in the court. Later, although he got bail, the DNA test report that eventually saw a mismatch,” he said.

When a discharge application was filed citing DNA mismatch, the court did not accept it and asked for the witness examination, which included Mallaij’s mother and villagers.

“Everyone said before the court that he is alive and separated from someone. The court questioned the Kushalnagar and Bettadrapura police about the flaws in the charge sheet, but he defended his investigation and said that the skeletal was of the malliz and Suresh had killed him,” the advocate said.

Meanwhile, on 1 April, the malliz was found at a hotel in Madikeri, having a meal with a man. He was seen by Suresh’s friend, who is also a witness in the charge sheet.

He was taken to Madikeri police station, after which a “advancement application” was filed before the District Judge’s court.

“The court seriously treats the case, asked the police to produce it immediately. He was presented in the court. When asked, he admitted to marry another person and marry. She said that she was unaware of what she had happened to Suresh. She was living in a village called Shettihalli, which was just 25-30 km from Madiki, but the police did not tell her.

Calling it a very serious and rare case, the Advocate said that the important questions before the court are now: Whose skeletal was this, and why did the police register a false charge sheet? He said, “The court had called the SP and investigative officers in the case, but they had no response to offer. It has directed to file a full report on laps before April 17 before giving the SP innocent to declare Suresh innocent.”

Saying that he is waiting for the final order of the court, the advocate said that once issued, he would file a writ petition in the High Court, which would be against the police to register a false case against his client’s trauma and a false case against the police.

“I would like justice and compensation for my customer. We will also contact the Human Rights Commission and ST Commission, as Suresh is a poor person in the ST community,” he said.

In addition, he said that there should be an investigation in the skeletal case and whether the police had a conspiracy to close both cases by naming Suresh as accused.
