Minister of Parliamentary Affairs Kiren Rijiju Criticized the Congress and its senior leader on Friday, Sonia Gandhi – Although he said “I don’t want to comment on him” – when he accused the Bharatiya Janata Party -led Central Government of “Bulldozing” The Contentus Waqf Amendment Bill Through Parliament.
In a press conference this afternoon – hours later Upper House cast 128-95 votes in favor of new Waqf lawsAfter the green light of the lower house,-Sri Rijiju said that the BJP “followed all processes” in the marathon back-to-back debate in the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha “.
“We followed all the procedures and the House worked till 4 in the morning … and then you say that the bill was ‘bulldozed’ on us? We saw that history is being made … but instead of appreciating it, you are saying that we are doing ‘bulldozing’ through the bill. It is not right,” Mr. Rijiju announced.
“Sonia Gandhi is a senior leader … I don’t want to comment. But yesterday, during the Congress parliamentary party, a statement was issued that the bill was forced and (by) bulldozing processes. But we have a record … It was never discussed in parliamentary history.”
He also explained the 17-hour debate on the bill in the upper house (after 12 hours in the Lok Sabha) there was not a single disruption; As promised, the opposition did not cause the disorder.
The Union Minister’s comments come amid controversy over Mrs. Gandhi’s comments, who claimed The bill was “bulldozled” through Rajya SabhaOf which he is a member.
Mrs. Gandhi also called it a “Brazen attack” on the Constitution and, resonating the words of Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav, accused the BJP of trying to keep the society in a position of “permanent polarization”. The Congress has since then said that it will challenge the bill.

Furious, BJP demanded an apology to an experienced Congress leader. BJP MP Nishikant Dubey announced that he intention, accusing the BJP of “taking the country under the drain”.
He also said that it was his statement, in fact, the constitution was an attack.
